It must have been the book 'Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil', or all the Hollywood movies, I feel the need to discover more of North America, the heart land. I have no baggage, I have no hang ups. I was born and raised in Italy. I am capable to accepting people of all personalities, as long as they are good people. I believe that in the world the majority of people are of a good nature, and those are the people I want to meet on this trip.
I love to make connections, whether we are soaking in the campground jacuzzi, or waiting in a museum line, or having a beer in a bar. I love a good story.

Day 67 - Charleston to Montgomery

Today was a big travel day - a record for us of 430 miles in one day! We had thought of doing an overnight on the way, but then we figured why not just get to Montgomery.

Before leaving I downloaded the audio book Educated by Tara Westover. This book is on both Bill Gates' and Barack Obama's book lists, and we liked it a lot but it is a heavy read. We couldn't stop listening so once we arrived in camp we kept listening until it finished past 11 pm - a long audio book but not boring at all. Next book though, will be a little lighter for sure!

The campground is wonderful with all the hookups (except cable) and a lot of space around. It was very quiet at night.
Around the park, there were a lot of RV Casitas, and we were wondering if there was a convention of all the Casitas' owners. We got our answer on the last day, when we talked to a couple of guys that were having a small gathering/party under the pavilion. The Casitas have so many fans, that they have their own club with website where they organize reunions.
